POSITION: SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – AUTISM SPECIALIST

  • Full-Time, Onsite Contract
  • Location: Enfield, London, EN3
  • Start Date: 30th January 2025
  • Salary: £90 to £100 per day
  • Working Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a specialist autism or SEN setting.
  • A strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Conditions and practical strategies to address related challenges.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism Specialist to join our dedicated team, supporting pupils with high-level needs on the Autism Spectrum. This position requires an empathetic, proactive, and dynamic individual with experience working with autistic children.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant – Autism Specialist, you will:

  • Provide tailored one-to-one and group support to pupils with autism.
  • Assist in creating and implementing personalised learning and behaviour plans.
  • Support pupils in managing sensory, communication, and behavioural challenges.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to encourage emotional and academic development.
  • Promote an inclusive, nurturing environment where pupils feel supported and valued.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and their families to ensure cohesive learning and development strategies.
