SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – SEND SCHOOL
Location: Nottinghamshire
Hours: Full-time
Day Rate: £87.50 - £100 per day
Bookmark is recruiting Teaching Assistants for an independent specialist schools that provides therapeutic and child-centred education to children aged 7 to 17 with SEND/SEMH. Many of the students also have additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as Autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
Teaching Assistants in this role will work with students who have a variety of complex needs. Each day is different, and the ideal candidate will be adaptable, empathetic, and resilient.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.
- Working 1:1 or in small groups with students.
- Managing classroom resources and assisting with lesson delivery.
- Supporting students during social times, including lunch.
- Encouraging positive behaviours and managing challenges effectively.
- Developing creative activities and games to promote social and academic growth.
- Attending training and reflective sessions to improve practice.
