SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – SEND SCHOOL

Hours: Full-time
Day Rate: £87.50 - £100 per day
Bookmark is recruiting Teaching Assistants for an independent specialist schools that provides therapeutic and child-centred education to children aged 7 to 17 with SEND/SEMH. Many of the students also have additional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), such as Autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.

THE ROLE

Teaching Assistants in this role will work with students who have a variety of complex needs. Each day is different, and the ideal candidate will be adaptable, empathetic, and resilient.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Working 1:1 or in small groups with students.
• Managing classroom resources and assisting with lesson delivery.
• Supporting students during social times, including lunch.
• Encouraging positive behaviours and managing challenges effectively.
• Developing creative activities and games to promote social and academic growth.
• Attending training and reflective sessions to improve practice.
