JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our educational team in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, including autism and other disabilities. This role is essential in helping to facilitate the learning process and ensuring that all students receive the attention and support they require.

SKILLS

• Proven experience working with people with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong teaching abilities, with a focus on engaging children in learning activities.
• Previous experience with children, particularly in an educational or care setting.
• Knowledge of special education practices and principles.
• Ability to provide toddler care with patience and understanding.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.

  Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
  Pay: £97.68-£127.10 per day
  Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Experience:

• Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Safeguarding Certification (preferred)
• QTS (preferred)

• Assist the lead teacher in delivering lessons and engaging students in various activities.
• Support children with autism and other disabilities, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Help create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation from all students.
• Maintain clear communication with teachers, parents, and other staff members regarding student progress and needs.
• Assist in preparing classroom materials and resources for lessons.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and child development.
