ABOUT THE ROLE:
Our specialist SEN primary school is dedicated to pupils with hearing impairments and complex communication needs. We create a nurturing environment that promotes confidence, independence, and lifelong learning. Our commitment to inclusive communication includes providing full British Sign Language (BSL) training up to Level 3 for all staff.
THE ROLE:
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with pupils and teachers to:
· Support children with hearing impairments and/or communication challenges
· Assist in delivering personalised, communication-focused learning plans
· Use or learn British Sign Language (BSL) to support access to learning
· Foster emotional and social development through positive relationships
