PRIMARY SCHOOL

Start Date: September 2025
Location: Haringey, North London
An inclusive and nurturing primary school in Haringey is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis from September 2025.
The Role:
In this role, you will provide focused support for students in the school with special educational needs. On your three working days, mornings will be spent providing 1:1 support to a child in Year 5 with ADHD and moderate dyslexia, in line with their EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
In the afternoons, you will deliver structured, targeted SEND interventions to small groups or individual pupils across the school.

The School is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant with:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting children with ADHD and dyslexia
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to learning and behaviour support
  • A strong understanding of EHCPs and how to implement them effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • High proficiency in English and IT
  • Relevant qualifications or SEND-specific training (desirable but not essential)

The School
This two-form entry primary free school, located in Muswell Hill, is a popular choice for families in the local area. The school fosters a creative, caring, and innovative approach to teaching and learning. Its dynamic leadership team encourages high expectations from both staff and pupils and has created a learning environment that nurtures creativity and curiosity. Staff are well supported and encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development.
If you are a confident, experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role starting in September, please apply with an up-to-date CV.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete registration and clearance processes with Philosophy Education. Interviews at the school will take place during June and July 2025.
We have a policy to respond to all applications within three working days. However, because of the volume of applications, we are sometimes unable to reply to individual enquiries. If we have not contacted you within this specified time your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
