REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Training or experience in working with students with complex needs or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) is advantageous.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children with additional needs.
  • Willingness to perform personal care duties and engage in manual handling when required.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with complex needs and physical disabilities.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Personal Care Plans.
  • Be prepared to engage in personal care tasks, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene assistance.
  • Use manual handling techniques when necessary to ensure student safety and comfort.
  • Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to all stakeholders.
