We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with proven experience working with children or young adults with SEN to join our supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support and assist in small group settings, helping students to reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individualised support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and other learning needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored interventions and support strategies.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student engagement and confidence.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Support students in both academic and social development, helping them to build essential life skills.
  • Adapt learning materials to meet the needs of individual students and facilitate their understanding.
  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support, ensuring students feel safe and valued.
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant professionals.
