SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - YEAR 2

Long Term Futures are working closely with a welcoming and well-established primary school in Harrow, who are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 2 with significant learning and communication needs. This full-time position is available from September 2025 and will continue for the full academic year.
Although the child is in Year 2, their current learning level is considerably below age-related expectations, and they will be working on a reduced timetable to help regulate and access the curriculum more effectively. The school are looking for a nurturing, adaptable, and proactive individual who can provide consistent 1:1 support, implement behaviour strategies, and help facilitate individual learning plans under the guidance of the SENCo.

• Supporting a pupil 1:1 with complex SEN and a bespoke reduced school day
• Delivering small group instruction and adjusting lesson materials to the pupil’s level
• Encouraging emotional regulation and managing classroom transitions
• Supporting speech, language and communication needs
• Collaborating with class teachers, outside agencies, and the child’s family
• Contributing to progress monitoring and regular reporting
