EXPERIENCED SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – SPECIALIST SCHOOL

Location: Meldreth, near Royston
Salary: £12.37–£13.49/hr
Hours: 37/week, Term Time Only
Contract: Full time, permanent
We’re looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join our small, supportive classes (up to 8 students) at a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated specialist school. Our pupils are aged 6–19 with a range of MLD and SLD needs including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and associated difficulties. Many of our students have complex medical needs and sensory/ physical impairments.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Level 2+ qualification in Support Work for Teaching & Learning (or equivalent) desirable
  • Right to work in the UK (NO SPONSORSHIP AVAILABLE).
  • GCSE Maths & English Level 2/C or equivalent
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH pupils in paid or voluntary roles
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and personalised learning approaches
  • Positive, adaptable, and pupil-focused

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
