We require a SEN teaching assistant to support a KS2 pupil within all lessons across the curriculum. Relevant SEN experience, particularly ASD, is essential. Epilepsy training is desirable but not essential.
The role is required from 8.30am - 3pm daily, during term time only and is a 1 year contract initially.

SUMMARY

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide individualised support to a student with special educational needs, fostering their academic and personal growth.
Reporting to the lead teacher, your core skills in special education and experience with children will be essential in creating a nurturing learning environment. Your premium skills in teaching and working with individuals with autism will enhance the educational experience, while your relevant skills in communication will facilitate effective interactions. Responsibilities
  • Assist students with special education needs in their daily activities and learning tasks.
  • Provide individualised support to children, particularly those with autism, to enhance their educational experience.

  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop tailored strategies for each child’s development.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as necessary to meet their unique needs.
