SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT – PRESTON

Location: Preston, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time | Term-time only
Pay: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience)

A welcoming and well-resourced SEN school in Preston is looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, or Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working with children with SEN in schools or care settings
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willingness to apply – we can support with this)
• A recent and detailed CV
• Strong references from previous employment

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs
• Assist in delivering tailored learning activities that meet pupils’ individual goals
• Support the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation in a structured setting
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to create an inclusive environment
• Help maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom
• Record observations and contribute to progress reports for pupils
