Responsibilities

Our special schools across Leeds are looking for graduates who are keen to gain experience in schools working as SEN Teaching Assistants. We have a plethora of supportive schools with expert staff and facilities working with children of all ages across all SEN, including moderate and severe learning difficulties, social and emotional mental health needs, autism, sensory impairments and physical disabilities.
Our schools are specifically looking for graduates with backgrounds in Psychology, Education or Health and Social Care that are looking to gain experience and kickstart a career working with children with special needs in fast-paced and active environments. This is the perfect opportunity to gain first- hand exposure in a supportive and expert setting where you can learn and master strategies for working across a variety of Special Educational Needs.
Although challenging, our schools will provide you with excellent opportunities for professional development, and you will learn and progress quickly with the ongoing support of a dedicated SEN consultant and bespoke training resources. We have roles that are both full and part-time, with flexible or immediate start dates, and pay starting at £94.50 a day with the opportunity to achieve up to £110 a day if you can really impress.
Our schools are looking for really passionate, motivated and enthusiastic graduates and students who have can-do attitudes and will go above and beyond for children. Experience is by no means required, so this is a great opportunity if you’re looking to kick-start a career in special education/psychology as well as providing the perfect platform to progress onto teaching roles.
Hours are typically 8.30-4pm, although can vary depending on the school.
