ABC Teachers is looking for skilled SEND Assistant to join a specialist SEN School in Birmingham on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students to gain a deep understanding of their individual and often complex needs, ensuring tailored support within the school environment.
  • Confidently support students in Key Stage 3 with a range of Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, fostering a safe and supportive learning atmosphere.
  • Collaborate with class teachers to prepare engaging and inclusive classroom environments, and provide day-to-day support to help pupils thrive.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a combination of home school assessments and robust baseline diagnostics, with the goal of minimising the impact of medical or emotional challenges on educational achievement.
  • Deliver targeted support through both small group work and 1:1 sessions, adapting your approach to suit individual learning styles and needs.
