SEND EDUCATOR

Responsibilities

SEND EDUCATOR , THE ROLE:

  • Full-time, term-time position starting in September
  • Working with children with SEN on a 1:1 or small group basis
  • Supporting learning, engagement and emotional regulation
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, SENCo and therapists to implement support plans
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, modelling calm and consistent behaviour
  • Excellent training and mentoring provided from day one
    This SEND Educator role is ideal for graduates seeking experience before training to become an Educational Psychologist, Speech and Language Therapist, Primary Teacher or Clinical Psychologist. Many current staff members have gone on to successful careers in these areas after starting in a SEND Educator role.
    You’ll be joining a highly inclusive and child-centred school, where staff genuinely care and go the extra mile. This SEND Educator opportunity is a chance to be part of a warm, dynamic team who believe in early intervention and tailored support.

To be considered for this SEND Educator role, you should have:

  • A strong academic background , ideally a 2:1 or First from a top university
  • Experience working with pupils with ASD, ADHD or other SEN , either in a school, youth work or care setting
  • A proactive and positive personality , patience, humour and empathy are key!
  • Excellent communication skills and a real team-player attitude
  • A genuine desire to help children access education and thriv
