  • A degree (minimum 2:2) – HLTA qualification or equivalent experience is a plus
  • Experience in schools or SEND settings (Autism experience desirable)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

We are working with a well-regarded Autism Specialist School that supports students aged 7–16. The school is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their dynamic and dedicated team for the academic year.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver and lead small group interventions and individual support sessions
  • Cover and lead lessons (with teacher guidance) when required
  • Assist with curriculum delivery and resource creation
  • Direct and support other teaching assistants in class
  • Foster student independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Monitor progress and support with assessments and reporting
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment
