Learder Education is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a supportive school environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and will be dedicated to providing one-to-one or small group support to help pupils access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, including those with autism, ADHD, or other learning difficulties.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
Assist in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff and parents.
Support pupils with personal care if required.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role, particularly within an educational or SEND setting.
A calm, patient, and empathetic nature.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
