To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A relevant Early Years qualification (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in Childcare, Early Years Education, or equivalent)
  • A passion for working with young children and supporting their development
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one through AK Teaching)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, caring, and enthusiastic nature
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

As an SEND LSA you will play a key role in supporting both the teacher and children in the classroom. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of engaging and creative learning activities
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support to children
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive behaviour
  • Supporting children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning
  • Helping to create a safe and stimulating learning environment
  • Assisting with daily routines such as snack times, personal care, and outdoor play
  • Observing and recording children’s progress to support their development
