Secondary SEND/ SEMH Teacher - Provision
Huddersfield / Wakefield
£160 - £230 Per Day
Salary is dependent on experience, training and qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are QTS/ QTLS / Instructor experience within secondary education phase within a school, PRU, AP or designated provision.
An opportunity for a driven, confident and ambitious practitioner to shape a new provision in the Huddersfield area. This provision lies on the outskirts of Huddersfield in easy reach of major motorways and road networks.
The Role
We are seeking a teacher with a strong secondary background, able to confidently deliver at least 2 subjects to GCSE level, ideally one of these will be a core subject. You will be able to draw upon experience working with young people who have experienced challenge and may be harder to reach or require bespoke approaches and adapted teaching strategies. You should have high standards for yourself and your practice.
The school caters to young people between KS1 and 4 who may have experienced trauma, disruption in their lives, had ACEs leading in some cases to SEMH needs, or individuals who, for various reasons require a different educational offer from mainstream education in order to thrive.
As this is a new and growing provision it is likely that strong team working ablities will be needed to support its success; an ability to roll up ones sleeves and contribute to the success of the school and its smooth running. Opportunities for promotion may await as the provision grows.
Vision for Education is recruiting for this role. You may work initially via ourselves or may move directly to a direct employment contract from the outset. However we commence, the intention is that this role is a full time, substantive role to be filled.
Requirements
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
