Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team in providing care and assistance to individuals with disabilities. Most of the available hours are during non term time to provide additional support during busy times. Might suit a school SEN worker looking for additional income or experience.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and ensuring the well-being of those in their care.
Duties
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to each individual’s needs
- Support individuals with daily activities and personal care
- Assist in promoting independence and social inclusion
- Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and other professionals
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting
- Provide personal care support where required
- Accompany individuals to appointments or outings as necessary
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting
- A compassionate and patient approach to care provision
