SEND TEACHING ASSISTANT

Location: Hammersmith, West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life?
A welcoming and inclusive primary/secondary school in the heart of Hammersmith is currently seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to support pupils with a range of learning difficulties including autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech and language needs.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and behaviour management
  • Adapt resources and activities to meet individual learning needs
  • Foster a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school, nursery or care setting)
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach to learning support
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for inclusive education and helping all learners thrive
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, psychology degree, or equivalent) – desirable but not essential
