Step Into Teaching are seeking Psychology graduates for a Primary School in Blackley offering a full time role starting in September 2025.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting a class of 10-11 pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disabilities), ranging through Early Years, Y1 & Y2 (KS1).
  • To assist the teacher with complex needs, adapting learning methods and providing additional support 1:1 or in groups with children.
  • To support a small group of non-verbal children using alternative communication methods such as visual timetables and now/next boards, communication books, or voice output devices (e.g. GoTalk, iPadsetc)
  • To be able to work with a range of social communication ranging from non verbal to behavioural issues.
  • Assist in the general management of classroom behavior and maintaining a safe and positive environment.
  • Provide feedback on student progress and help identify areas of improvement, using adaptive teaching techniques.
