Description

We are establishing a growing recruitment business in Harrow and are looking for an ambitious, commercially minded Senior 360 Industrial & Logistics Recruitment Consultant to develop and lead our industrial and logistics recruitment desk.

This is an opportunity for an experienced recruiter who wants more than a standard recruitment role. You will have the autonomy to develop your own client portfolio, win new business, manage recruitment campaigns and build a profitable desk with the potential to grow into a leadership position.

We are particularly interested in candidates with proven experience in industrial, warehouse, fulfilment, manufacturing or logistics recruitment, including temporary staffing.

As this is a developing desk, you must be comfortable generating new business rather than relying solely on existing client accounts or incoming vacancies.

Key responsibilities

Business development and client acquisition:

  • Identify, target and win new business from warehouses, distribution centres, fulfilment operators, manufacturers and logistics companies.
  • Develop relationships with hiring managers, operations managers, HR teams and procurement contacts.
  • Generate new vacancies through proactive sales calls, client meetings, networking and account development.
  • Negotiate recruitment terms, service agreements, payment terms and commercial margins.
  • Build a sustainable portfolio of repeat clients.

360 recruitment delivery:

  • Manage the complete recruitment cycle, from winning vacancies to candidate placement and aftercare.
  • Source and recruit warehouse operatives, pickers and packers, forklift truck (FLT) drivers, production operatives, shift leaders and warehouse supervisors.
  • Build and maintain an active database of reliable candidates.
  • Manage candidate screening, interviews, references, right-to-work checks and relevant compliance documentation.
  • Coordinate temporary staffing requirements, shift coverage, timesheets and assignment extensions.

Temporary staffing and account management:

  • Develop opportunities for recurring temporary workforce supply.
  • Manage client service levels, attendance, replacements and urgent staffing requirements.
  • Work closely with payroll and operations to ensure accurate timesheets, invoicing and payment collection.
  • Monitor gross profit margins, client payment terms and account profitability.
  • Ensure that temporary workers are appropriately vetted and that assignments comply with applicable employment, health and safety and agency regulations.

Desk development and leadership:

  • Take ownership of desk performance, revenue generation and profitability.
  • Establish repeatable processes for business development, candidate attraction and client management.
  • Help develop recruitment procedures and operational standards.
  • Progress towards a desk management role and potentially recruit and mentor additional consultants as the business grows.

Essential requirements:

  • At least 3 years of UK recruitment experience, preferably in industrial, warehouse, logistics, fulfilment or manufacturing recruitment.
  • Demonstrable experience in 360 recruitment, including winning new clients and managing the full recruitment cycle.
  • Previous experience supplying temporary workers to commercial or industrial clients.
  • A track record of generating recruitment revenue and developing client relationships.
  • Strong business development, negotiation and account-management skills.
  • Commercial awareness, including understanding gross profit, temporary staffing margins and payment terms.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and candidate-management skills.
  • A proactive, resilient and entrepreneurial approach.
  • The ability to work primarily from our Harrow office.
