Senior 3D Artist – Stylized (Mobile Games) Location Bangalore, India – Full-time, On-site Experience Minimum 3–4 years in game art production Role Overview We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist with strong skills in 3D modeling and stylized texturing for a mobile mid-core game with a top-down perspective. This role requires someone who understands how to create high-quality stylized assets while keeping them optimized for mobile performance. You will work closely with designers, technical artists, and developers to ensure assets are visually strong and perform well in-game. Key Responsibilities Create high-quality 3D models for characters, environments, and props suitable for a top-down mid-core mobile game Produce stylized textures and materials that match the games visual style Ensure assets are optimized for mobile platforms with efficient poly counts, UVs, and texture usage Maintain consistent art style and visual quality across all assets Collaborate with game designers, developers, and technical artists during asset integration Iterate on assets based on gameplay, art direction, and technical feedback Follow asset pipelines, naming conventions, and production processes Support the team in maintaining efficient asset workflows for mobile development Required Skills & Experience 4 to 10 years of experience as a 3D artist in game development Strong expertise in 3D modeling and stylized texturing (Hand painted texturing) Experience creating mobile-optimized game assets Good understanding of top-down camera perspective asset creation Strong knowledge of Maya or equivalent 3D modeling tools Strong experience in Substance painter Experience working with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Solid understanding of UV mapping, texture optimization, and asset pipelines Ability to maintain performance-friendly assets for mobile platforms Good collaboration and communication skills Nice to Have Experience working on mid-core mobile games Knowledge of PBR workflows and stylized shading techniques Basic understanding of game engine asset integration Familiarity with version control systems used in game production Please note: This position is for one of Playdawn's clients, and successful candidates will be hired directly by the client, not by Playdawn.
