Job Description:
The Account Director will lead a collaborative sales strategy between VMware and Broadcom’s internal and external sales teams, specifically focusing on public sector customers. This extended team works toward shared goals within an assigned sales territory. The group’s mission is to expand Broadcom’s presence within designated public sector accounts and regions, positioning the Broadcom portfolio as a core solution. Our offerings transform IT’s role in these accounts from a perceived cost center to a strategic enabler.

Responsibilities

  • Sell the complete Broadcom and Application Delivery solution portfolio to strategic public customers
  • Develop and execute an account portfolio sales strategy, focusing on key public sector accounts and maintaining regular sales engagement.
  • Leverage channel partners to implement the account portfolio sales strategy.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle for transactions.
  • Drive product adoption, increase consumption, and grow public sector customer accounts..
  • Ensure extend contract renewals
  • Strengthen existing customer relationships in the public sector and elevate them to a strategic level.
  • Align Broadcom’s portfolio with the business needs, challenges, and technical requirements of public sector customers.
  • German and Englisch required

Experience Required

  • Experience in data center software, security, and network security solutions, with a focus on public sector organizations.
  • Background in sales within an overlay or product sales specialist role.
  • Demonstrated success in both direct sales and indirect or channel-driven sales models within the public sector.
  • Proven ability to lead sales campaigns involving sales executives, field systems engineers (SEs), Inside Sales, Field Marketing, CPM and Services teams
  • Track record of success in highly competitive sales environments, particularly in the public sector.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a broader team
