TURNER, a full-service public relations and digital communications agency specializing in travel, outdoor, lifestyle, and wellness brands, is seeking a Senior Account Executive who is passionate about storytelling and media relations for the industries we serve. Candidates must have 4+ years of media relations experience with demonstrated results. Candidates with in-house backgrounds who are ready to try the agency world are also encouraged to apply. This hybrid role must be based in New York City, requiring two days per week in office working alongside our team. Specific responsibilities may include: Lead daily PR activities for designated wellness and lifestyle accounts as part of a multi-person account team Contribute the majority of time to proactive media outreach and thought leadership, delivering consistent results across top-tier consumer and endemic outlets Maintain solid relationships with journalists, podcasters, influencers, and creators Develop compelling story angles that position client brands at the forefront of cultural and industry conversations Support the planning and on-site execution of year-round press events, activations, and media experiences Stay updated on evolving industry, media, and influencer trends to inform earned-first strategies Manage and mentor junior team members on pitching strategy, media list development, and client communications Knowledge and Skills Required: 4+ years of active lifestyle communications experience; relevant experience with product brands through partnerships or standalone campaigns Proven national media relationships—and the ability to cultivate new ones—across business, wellness and lifestyle verticals Hands-on experience coordinating media familiarization tours, media events and media missions Uses social media tools regularly and has experience integrating social media into public relations programs Proficiency in using Cision, Meltwater, Muck Rack, and Microsoft applications BA or BS in public relations, journalism, communications, or related field Stand Out Candidates Have: Experience negotiating earned media with production fees or paid editorial spaces Knowledge to tie earned pitching to affiliate and e-commerce strategies A genuine passion for the worlds we represent – whether that’s wellness, fitness, travel, overlanding, or the great outdoors Salary range varies based on experience, $72,000-$80,000.
