DeVries Global is looking for a Senior Account Executive to lead earned media efforts on the beauty team in our New York office (hybrid). This role will be primarily dedicated to one client. What you'll bring: Strong Media Relations Skills: Can effectively and efficiently create media relations strategies (including traditional and non-traditional media, e.g., digital, print, social media, broadcast, and podcast) for clients. Will proactively lead pitching efforts (e.g., pitch angle development, media list development) to drive quality editorial coverage and should have existing relationships with key media (primarily in beauty, commerce and consumer lifestyle). Strong Written and Oral Communicator: Can communicate clearly, quickly and comprehensively across the team and with clients in a thoughtful and helpful way. The SAE will be responsible for helping draft client facing emails and reports. Strategic Thinking: Can strategically apply client and category knowledge to effectively generate insights, ideas and recommendations for client programs/toolkits. Must have experience developing strategic programming for clients. Knowledge of Influencer Landscape: Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of Instagram and TikTok, relevant influencers, and the ability to apply the knowledge to client recommendations. Impeccable Organizational Skills: Can manage multiple projects simultaneously, helping to oversee execution from concept to completion, on time and within budget. What you'll do: Media Help create long term media strategies, plans and program recommendations for clients Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of media relevant to client Qualify media inquiries and field interview requests Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts; pitch media persuasively Write and/or edit media relations materials including fact sheets, press releases and more Account Management Develop strong understanding of client’s business and industry Participate in client meetings; provide client counsel on tactical matters, linked to strategic plans Manage or supervise end-to-end execution of events and mailers (eg: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor and influencer events, etc.) Project management Manage external vendors Contribute to the development of strategic client plans and presentations; proactively generate new ideas and opportunities to ensure client program success Account for quality control and review of all letters, memos, meeting reports, and client materials Train and develop junior team members; instruct in areas of writing and editing as necessary Oversee reporting and monitoring; own updating and reviewing slides for monthly reports Be involved in staffing of team, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates Perform and oversee administrative tasks as assigned Why join us: Excellent opportunity to grow one’s holistic understanding of the North America consumer PR industry and further develop strategic recommendation skills Grow strategic brand communications skills Work in a top global consumer PR agency, helping to manage critical programs for a Fortune 150 client Showcase creativity and innovative thinking in an environment that will encourage and fuel ideation in seamless way Develop on a professional and personal level across multi-skill sets within a supportive team environment Education Bachelor’s Degree Professional Experience 3 - 4 years related professional experience Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 DeVries has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
