Upvest, founded in 2017, enables any financial institution to offer great investment experiences to its customers. Upvest is an investment firm regulated by the German supervision authority (BaFin). The company currently employs 170+ people across Europe with its headquarters based in Berlin, Germany.
The company is backed by the world’s largest venture capital funds and investors including Bessemer Venture Partners, BlackRock, Earlybird, HV Capital, Notion Capital, and ABN Amro Ventures, as well as by renowned fintech entrepreneurs (including Maximilian Tayenthal, founder of N26, and Felix Haas, founder of IDnow).
We’re looking for fintech enthusiasts to join us in creating the financial infrastructure of tomorrow. We’re building the first European Investment API to enable any financial institution offering a wide range of efficient and transparent investment products, such as stocks and ETFs in nominal, portfolio, and fractional form. Our mission and vision is to make investing as easy as spending money.
We’re based in Berlin but would consider hiring remotely in Germany for this role. If you do want to move to Berlin though, we’re happy to support your relocation.

YOUR MISSION:

As Upvest enters the next stage of growth, we are seeking a highly motivated and outcome-driven Account Executive to join us. The Enterprise Senior Account Executive role focuses on working with the largest traditional financial institutions across Europe.
All our team efforts are centred around the client and give you the opportunity to work with high autonomy coupled with inspirational leadership. Working in the Growth team combines impactful work with a relaxed and fun atmosphere. We have established strong practices around feedback, team health and social events.
You will work directly with our Director of Sales Alexander Reichhardt owning sizable client relationships and thus directly impacting Upvest’s business trajectory.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 4 years of successful experience meeting or exceeding sales targets in the B2B finance industry, ideally for SaaS / API-based products
  • At least 2 years of experience in the investment industry (ideally with focus on the infrastructure side)
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, with the ability to create trust, effectively handle objections and present compelling pitches
  • Demonstrated expertise with B2B sales methodologies, such as solution/consultative selling as well as practical application of industry best practices (e.g. MEDDIC framework)
  • Hands-on, proactive ownership of complex projects, including reliable client communication and diligent internal documentation
  • Basic understanding of the investment industry, its current trends and competitive landscape
  • Preference for candidates located in Berlin and fluent in English (written and verbal). German would be an advantage.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong professional network in the investment industry (across fintechs and enterprise clients)
Responsibilities
  • Own the cross-functional sales cycle until contract closing to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Develop compelling sales materials and pitches that communicate the Upvest value proposition effectively
  • Develop reliable weekly, monthly, and annual sales performance and pipeline
  • Build and maintain strong client and industry relationships through regular client calls and networking events
  • Contribute to our sales enablement efforts and process improvement by sharing client insights constantly
  • Enable a seamless client onboarding experience via effective communication with our implementations team
