Responsibilities:
Gallagher General Aviation handle an international book of clients involved in almost every sector of the aerospace industry, from high net worth business aviation clients to airport operators, emergency and public service operations, maintenance and repair service organisations and aviation passenger services organisations.
You will be joining a team which combines extensive experience and a wide range of technical skills, where the emphasis is on managing your book of business with a high level of autonomy, dealing directly with clients and insurers. Account service is paramount and the potential for development and promotion is excellent, for the right candidate.
Knowledge of aviation insurance is highly desirable but training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key roles:
- Managing a portfolio of accounts from enquiry through the renewal process
- Effectively gathering information and instructions from aircraft owners and operators
- Pro-actively discussing renewal terms with customers
- Preparing and producing policy quotes and all necessary policy documentation using IBS platform
- Promptly responding to all client enquiries throughout the annual policy period
- Supporting senior directors on large, complex fleet policies, as necessary
- Working, as necessary, with third party producing brokers
- Attending client meetings and other event such as shows and events when required
- Managing your own monthly renewal list in a timely and efficient manner
- Complying with the departmental operational procedures and performance targets
- Assisting the on-going development of operational processes and team development
- Managing your own personal development
- Continuously seeking to expand your technical skills to support the business
Qualifications:
- Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent with a strong working knowledge of general insurance products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practises.
- Strong knowledge of client market and insurance industry network, London Market, Lloyds and Industry.
- Excellent client service focus; the customer is always your top priority
- Good, clear written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail , including due diligence in administration, policy documents and processes
- Able to manage a busy workload in an organised and structured manner
- IT competent including ideally IBS, good Excel skills and e-file management skills
- Continually building your industry knowledge and seeking development
- Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualifications: Dip CII/ Cert CII
- Eligible to work in the UK
Desirable, but not essential skills:
- Aviation insurance knowledge desirable, but not essential
- An interest in aviation is preferable but not essential
- Previous experience of IBS risk processing platform
- Knowledge of WhiteSpace
- Additional, European language, desirable
