More about the role: As a Senior Account Executive specializing in Medical Communications at GCI Health, you will play a crucial role in supporting the execution of scientific and medical communication initiatives for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients. You will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality scientific content, manage project timelines, and serve as a key point of contact for clients on day-to-day activities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical communications principles, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex scientific information into clear and compelling materials for various audiences. You will work closely with senior team members to ensure project success and client satisfaction. What you'll do: Support the development and execution of medical communications projects, including scientific publications, medical education materials, advisory boards, and congress activities. Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. Conduct literature searches and synthesize scientific data to support content development. Draft and review scientific content for accuracy, clarity, and adherence to client objectives and regulatory guidelines. Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, managing inquiries, providing updates, and building strong working relationships. Collaborate effectively with internal teams (e.g., editorial, creative, digital) and external vendors to ensure seamless project delivery. Assist in preparing for client meetings, presentations, and new business pitches. Monitor industry trends and scientific advancements relevant to client therapeutic areas. Experience that contributes to success: 2-4 years of experience in medical communications, scientific communications, or a related field, preferably within a PR/medical communications agency or pharmaceutical company. Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Public Health) or Communications with a strong science background. Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, PharmD) is a plus. Demonstrated understanding of scientific principles and the ability to interpret and communicate complex medical data. Experience in supporting the development of various medical communications deliverables (e.g., slide decks, manuscripts, posters, meeting summaries). Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on scientific accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and compliance standards related to medical communications. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build strong client relationships.
