Description

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of proven success in high-value B2G or consultative B2B sales
  • Series 65 or Series 63/66 license strongly preferred
  • Strong preference for candidates with investment advisory experience (public sector focus a plus)
  • Track record of closing six-figure deals and managing long sales cycles
  • Executive presence with exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and sales performance tracking
  • Ability to work independently in a results-focused remote environment

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience selling to municipalities in California
  • Knowledge of municipal finance and public funds management

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the entire sales cycle from prospecting and relationship building to proposal, negotiation, and onboarding.
  • Benefit from OIP’s targeted municipal lead lists, marketing support, and industry networking opportunities — allowing you to focus on building relationships and closing deals.
  • Drive new business growth, securing two or more municipal clients per month after onboarding.
  • Forge trusted partnerships with City Managers, Finance Directors, Finance Managers, and General Managers that lead to long-term advisory engagements.
  • Deliver persuasive, data-driven presentations that align municipal goals with OIP’s investment advisory services.
  • Act as a strategic advisor and thought leader in municipal finance.
  • Collaborate with leadership on market expansion, revenue forecasting, and competitive strategy.
  • Identify and implement sales process improvements that shorten the sales cycle and increase close rates.
  • Potentially represent OIP at industry events, conferences, and association meetings as opportunities arise in the future.
