Description

T&P is looking for a Senior Account Manager to join the Melbourne team, starting in August for five months.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Account Manager’s focus is the day-to-day organisation and administration of the accounts assigned to them. They must ensure that the team remains focused on developing new insights and ideas, as well as creating superior brand-building advertising and communication.
Beyond the administrative role, the Senior Account Manager is responsible for securing mid-to-senior-level client commitments to creative and strategic work. The management, direction and development of the project team are essential to control resources and ensure optimum client servicing is maintained. They must ensure the team is well informed about the brand, its market and its competitors.
This position is a 5-month contract with the opportunity to extend. We are heading into a busy, creative and production period and are looking for a savvy SAM to hit the ground running and lead projects end-to-end with minimal support. Must be confident in executing TTL campaigns and leading production projects with a significant amount of deliverables.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Account Director in daily tasks and interactions with the client. Address all queries and approvals when the Account Director is absent.
  • Manage the team by delegating in an appropriate manner both up and down and keep the team informed on work in progress, recognising issues early and pre-empting them.
  • Approve/write creative briefs that are concise, actionable and create a sense of direction and creative opportunity.
  • Approve creative work that is on strategy and ensure work is effectively presented and executed to clients.
  • Manage the production process with minimal support on time and within budget. Must be confident in managing and interrogating production costs.
  • Provide final account service approval on all production, print and any other product of the Agency’s work.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the client’s brand and its competitive environment, so that the Agency is jointly driving the strategy and adding value to the relationship.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to get things done on time, on budget and at the right quality, including peers across departments and disciplines.
  • Manage the professional development of direct reports, including feedback and coaching and efficient delegation.
  • Actively identify and develop additional business opportunities within the assigned client.
