QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2+ years of account management or sales experience, ideally with: an e-commerce retailer (e.g., Amazon, Walmart.ca, Wayfair, etc.), or a brand selling to e-commerce retailers.
  • Strong understanding of retail promotions, MAP policies, and digital retail dynamics
  • Proven track record of success in selling to national retailers
  • Ability to build both transactional and long-term relationships with retail buying teams
  • Post-secondary education. A business focus is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting, forecasting).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating across teams.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada
Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

We are seeking a results-driven Senior Account Manager (Retail) with proven experience in e-commerce retail sales—either working directly for an online retailer or for a brand that sells through them. This individual will manage and grow relationships with multi-retail accounts, representing a portfolio of products and brands. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of retail promotions, MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policies, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, Excel proficiency, and multi-tasking are critical.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with major e-commerce and retail accounts, serving as the primary point of contact.
  • Represent multiple brands/products, ensuring strong visibility and performance across accounts.
  • Develop account strategies that drive sales growth, optimize promotions, and maintain MAP compliance.
  • Analyze account performance and sales data; prepare reports and provide insights using advanced Excel skills.
  • Plan and execute retail promotions, ensuring alignment with client and internal objectives.
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and supply chain to ensure seamless execution of account plans.
  • Negotiate terms, promotional activities, and pricing with retail partners.
  • Identify growth opportunities and present solutions to increase brand performance across e-commerce platforms.
  • Stay current with e-commerce and retail trends, competitive activity, and customer buying behavior.
