We are a privately owned, diversified contracting firm providing a full scope of mechanical construction and maintenance services. Our clients span industries such as ethanol/biofuels, food processing, and health care production. At DeWine, we believe safety and quality workmanship are key to our continued success. Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to become an integral part of our team. This position will work closely with DeWine’s Accounting Department to oversee all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, hands-on accounting experience, and a detail-oriented mindset to support our growing operations. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and coordinate all financial activities and accounting personnel. • Maintain and standardize accounting systems, records, and techniques. • Conduct internal audits and analyze financial data to assess company performance. • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Serve as the primary contact for external auditors. • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports. • Support management with budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives. Compensation & Benefits • Salary: $90,000–$120,000, depending on experience. • Health & Dental Insurance • Paid Time Off • Paid Holidays Requirements Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; management experience preferred. • Experience in the construction industry a strong plus. • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software. • Solid understanding of GAAP principles. • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines
