The Opportunity
The Accountant role, reporting to the Group Finance Controller, is a hands-on, autonomous position responsible for driving high standards in financial control, compliance, and reporting across the Group.
You’ll play a key role in streamlining accounting processes, working closely with divisional Finance Managers and staff. With a strong focus on accuracy and coordination, this role offers both challenge and reward as you help shape the efficiency and integrity of the Group’s finance operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Compliance

Prepare and review accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS or GAAP) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Month-End and Year-End Close Processes

Lead the month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting

Collaborate with management to develop budgets and financial forecasts, analyze variances, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Audit Coordination

Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, preparing audit schedules and supporting documentation to facilitate smooth and efficient audits.

  • Process Improvement and Internal Controls

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and implement best practices to improve financial operation

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience as an Accountant within a large, complex matrix organization, with a strong capability in developing robust financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex financial and management information clearly and effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable, enhancing cross-functional collaboration in multilingual and international environments.
  • Experience with CHEOPS and SAP BPC/SAP B1 highly desirable
