SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS:
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
- 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in Sage50, QuickBooks, and/or Excel and MS Office Suite are ideal, with a willingness and flexibility to adapt to new programs and systems
- Superior communication skills and client-focused approach
- Positive attitude and interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to thrive in an engaged team environment
- Ability to meet project deadlines within timeframes and budgets
- Strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented work ethic
Responsibilities:
- Manage bookkeeping and accounting for a portfolio of clients
- Support clients to ensure needs are actively met (identify risks, deliver added value, provide advice, maintain strong relationships, etc.)
- Analyze financial information and provide valuable solutions for opportunities and challenges
- Plan, prepare, and execute audits, review engagements, and Notice to Reader files
- Analyze, prepare, file corporate and personal tax returns, as well as trust returns
- Prepare and file HST returns, and other government filings
- Coach and support junior team members
- Contribute to business growth and development
