This position will play a key role in preparing and maintaining financial records. This role requires strong quantitative skills, proficiency in financial software, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Other duties may be assigned. Perform in depth analysis of GL accounts; BvA, YoY, etc. Perform month end closing processes Perform routine GL Account reconciliations on assigned accounts Prepare consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from DMS. Prepare and present monthly financial report for department managers and executives Provide support to department managers for reporting questions and requests Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements. Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area. Candidate must be extremely organized. Must be able to work with co-workers, vendors and customers in a friendly and professional manner. Ad-hoc projects as needed. Excellent follow-through required. Requirements REQUIRED SKILL & ABILITIES Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, preferred. At least five years of related experience required. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
