REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience handling full cycle accounting in low-rise and high-rise residential construction
• Completed CPA
• Strong working experience with year-end working papers
• Knowledgeable of construction cost accounting procedures
• Excellent communication skills, analytical mind-set, and a high attention to detail

Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Accountant in the real estate sector in North York, Ontario.
We’re actively hiring for our client who are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their residential team permanently. This role will be overseeing a team and handling all aspects of accounting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handling bank reconciliations, reconciliations of control accounts, and monthly HST reconciliations as well as filing HST returns
• Posting acquisitions and sales closings
• Overseeing a team of 3 and double checking their work
• Annual working papers
• Maintaining the general ledger and posting year-end journal entries
• Setting up new projects, budgets, cost codes, and change/purchase orders in the system
