We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to bring expertise, leadership, and curiosity to our General Accounting team. You’ll play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across multiple entities. This role combines hands-on accounting with lead responsibilities, offering the opportunity to mentor junior team members, support audits, and contribute to high-level projects in a global organization At Allianz Partners, you’re more than an accountant — you’re a trusted advisor driving financial accuracy and integrity across a global business Location: Richmond VA, 9950 Mayland Drive Work style: This role follows a hybrid two day in-office schedule Reporting structure: This position reports directly to Head of Accounting, Americas in a highly matrixed organization. What you will do Prepare and review journal entries for balance sheet and income statement accounts. Oversee account reconciliations across multiple entities, ensuring compliance and audit readiness. Supervise and mentor junior accountants, reviewing their work for accuracy and growth. Collaborate with other departments to support entries and reconciliations in line with GAAP. Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and distribution. Support year-end audit schedules and internal audit requirements. Contribute to process improvements and higher-level accounting projects. May perform other duties as assigned What you will bring Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Combined five (5) years of general accounting, reporting, and/or public audit experience. Experience in the insurance/service industry preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to lead and influence without direct authority Proficient with MS Office 365 Suite Experience working in a global highly matrixed organization Experience with or ability to learn US GAAP, IFRS, and NAIC statutory accounting standards. Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques to analyze financial data and derive actionable insights; PowerBi would be an asset Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc).
