Description Job Title: Senior Accountant Overview: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to take ownership of our payroll processing and general ledger functions. This role is ideal for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident working independently on key financial operations. Responsibilities: Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance sheet accounts monthly. Perform regular GL entries and adjustments and maintain detailed documentation to support transactions. Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring timely, accurate payments and compliance with all tax and labor regulations. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, tax forms, and time reporting. Prepare payroll-related reports and analytics for management as needed. Assist with external audits by providing supporting schedules and documentation. Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with reliable historical data and insights. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. At least 5 years of accounting experience, including direct responsibility for payroll and general ledger functions. Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop. Understanding of U.S. payroll laws. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and analytical thinking. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in healthcare industry. Familiarity with additional accounting tools or platforms (e.g., Paylocity, Asana, Tungsten, Ramp).
