Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities The Senior Accountant is a key contributor to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the general ledger, overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, administering payroll processes, and serving as the primary regional contact for the annual statutory audit. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, highly organized, and comfortable managing end‑to‑end accounting functions in a dynamic environment. Tasks:  * Manage the general ledger and sub‑ledgers for the Malaysian entity, including daily entries, accruals, reconciliations, cash reporting, and recording of receipts. * Prepare timely and accurate monthly accounting reports, including intercompany reconciliations and month‑end revenue close for the Malaysian entity. * Complete vendor onboarding requirements, including preparing and submitting credit applications. * Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests, and accurately record all outgoing payments. * Coordinate and oversee the purchase order workflow, ensuring compliance with the Katalyst Purchase Order Policy. * Reconcile client invoices monthly (prepared by Operations) and complete weekly receipt reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue tracking. * Prepare and post month‑end adjusting journal entries, ensuring completeness and compliance with reporting standards. * Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including routine trial balance reviews and correction of discrepancies. * Manage and update the fixed asset register, ensuring proper capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking. * Support statutory reporting requirements, including preparation of audit schedules and coordination with auditors. * Collaborate with the Regional Finance Manager to identify operational efficiencies and implement continuous process improvements across accounting workflows.  Skills:   * Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally at all levels. * Demonstrate ability to effectively manage vendor inquiries and dispute resolution. * Organized and disciplined to ensure compliance with procedures. * Flexibility to take on additional projects and adapt to changes in priorities. * Strong MS Office Suite skills (Excel, Word, and Outlook). * Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask. * Versatile and able to work in a complex, fast-paced environment. Supervisory Responsibilities:  This position does not entail direct staff supervision.   Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Physical Demands:  This is a largely sedentary role; therefore, must be able to sit for an extended amount of time. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:  This is a full-time position. As a full-time position, the Senior Accountant is eligible to participate in the regional benefits offered to Katalyst employees. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional night and weekend hours are expected in support of our global operations. Travel:  No travel is required, and all work can be performed from the local Katalyst office. Required Education and Experience   * Accounting Degree required; CPA/CA preferred. * 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
