Job Title: Accountant Job Description The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely financial reports, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal accounting standards. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the organization’s financial integrity and supporting leadership with clear, reliable financial information. The position requires working closely with leadership and cross‑functional teams in a fully in-office environment. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations. Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable accounting regulations. Conduct cash flow analysis and provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance. Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and validate financial data. Support budgeting and forecasting activities. Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures. Perform technical accounting research to address complex transactions and ensure regulatory compliance. Assist with tax planning, filings, and compliance activities. Support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit documentation. Utilize accounting systems such as Business Central or Microsoft Dynamics to record, track, and analyze financial transactions. Essential Skills 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Familiarity with Microsoft ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics, Business Central, Great Plains, etc.). Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Experience working closely with leadership. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus. Construction industry experience is preferred. Work Environment This is an onsite position in Pompano Beach, FL, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8/9 AM to 5 PM.
