JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking Remote Senior Accountant consultants for a 6+ month project. This role is crucial for supporting ongoing business operations during a major ERP implementation, ensuring the continuity of day-to-day accounting functions while the core team focuses on system transition efforts.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting or finance.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
  • Expertise in IFRS and a strong understanding of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, ERP systems (BST, Deltek, or Infor preferred), and SQL query experience.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with large accounting entries, intercompany transactions, reconciliation, fixed assets, and foreign currency transactions.
  • Background working in companies with $250M+ in revenue.
  • Experience working in a high-volume and highly manual environment.
  • Industry experience in AEC, engineering, or professional services preferred.
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review and post automatic recurring journal entries and rent voucher entries.
  • Maintain the lease accounting system and reconcile balances to the general ledger.
  • Review and ensure proper recording and reversal of month-end accrual entries.
  • Prepare and maintain account analysis and adjusting entries according to internal policies.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to general ledger control accounts and supporting schedules, such as amortization.
  • Review the trial balance departmentalization for compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain stock activity ledgers and prepare documentation for redemptions and purchases.
  • Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and foreign currency exchange entries.
  • Coordinate with external accountants on annual personal property tax returns, including data submission, review, and payment facilitation.
  • Process monthly and month-end reports for financial reporting packages.
  • Post system-generated journal entries, including revenue and revaluation entries.
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist with audit-related tasks.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records, including physical inventory coordination.
  • Research and apply GAAP/IFRS standards to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other related accounting duties as required.
