JOB DESCRIPTION

Industrial Contracting Company is seeking a highly experienced and professional Senior Accountant to join our team. This role serves as a key partner to the Controller, providing critical support in financial management and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess experience in month-end close processes, financial reporting, payroll, account reconciliations, and proficiency with Foundation Software. This is an in-person role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including transaction processing, general ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Review and reconcile financial data to maintain integrity and accuracy.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed assets schedules.
  • Assist with audits and prepare the necessary documentation.
  • Support payroll processing and Union reporting.
  • Conduct bank & balance sheet reconciliations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting and analysis
  • Construction industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and auditing procedures
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Preference for candidates with experience in Foundation software.
