Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era in micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler (MC) technology. The MC enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by offering manufacturing processes and a materials library that is inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods. The MC promises to unlock MEMS manufacturing both for the many device classes that never could be made by semiconductor methods but also to open up entirely new classes. Furthermore, the MC is fully digital in the way 3D printing is digital, but where 3D printing produces parts of a single material using a single process, the MC is a multi-process, multi-material technology: bits and raw materials go in and complete, functional micromachines come out. The Atomic Machines team has also created an exciting first device – one that was only made possible by the existence of the Matter Compiler – that we will be unveiling to the world soon.
Our offices are in Berkeley and Santa Clara, California.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and own the accounting function for the company. This role is ideal for a proactive, hands-on accounting professional who loves autonomy and thrives in a fast-paced startup environment. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this position will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, driving key accounting processes, and supporting financial decision-making. At Atomic Machines, we are not just building a company—we are inventing the future of how things are made. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial foundation of a cutting-edge startup that is revolutionizing micromanufacturing and digital fabrication. You will be responsible for building and optimizing financial processes, with a strong focus on inventory accounting, cost accounting, and financial operations, ensuring financial accuracy and streamlining key accounting functions. You will act as the primary stakeholder in developing scalable financial infrastructure as you guide the company in selecting and implementing financial systems. This is more than just an accounting role—it’s an opportunity to be part of a team that is bringing atomically precise manufacturing to life. You will collaborate with the finance, operations, and strategic growth teams to align financial processes with our ambitious mission.
