PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting , Finance or a related discipline;
  • Member of recognised accounting body (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience; preferably in sales distribution, wholesale and retail sectors
  • Strong business acumen and excellent analytical, reporting and business control skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, pro-active with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Advanced Excel skills; hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP; knowledge of Cognos and Power BI is an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment; occasional overtime may be required
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Additional language skills would be an advantage

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our UK operations. This role is critical in managing full-spectrum accounting functions, driving financial accuracy, supporting business units, and contributing to process improvement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), and intercompany reconciliations
  • Oversee cashflow planning, inventory, receivables, fixed assets management and credit review of customers
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards
  • Perform month-end closing, management reporting and quarterly reporting packages for Group HQ
  • Responsible for monthly forecasting and supporting annual budgeting processes, including system budgetary tracking
  • Conduct variance analysis of the financial performance, providing insights for performance improvement
  • Act as liaison with banking partners and resolve related matters
  • Partner with business units and relevant stakeholders and provide support in relation to finance and accounting operations
  • Support on-going and ad-hoc projects including new system implementation
