POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is a key role reporting to the Controller/Treasurer, responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards, and supporting financial decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep accounting knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA is a plus.
  • 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP (IFRS knowledge a plus).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively across teams.
  • High degree of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Analyze and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany balances.
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements and ensure data integrity.
  • Support AR and AP functions including billing, collections, vendor reconciliation, and payment accuracy.
  • Lead process improvements and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
  • Provide financial analysis and support forecasting, budgeting, and cost tracking initiatives.
  • Participate in internal and external audits; prepare supporting documentation as needed.
  • Assist in ERP system maintenance and improvement initiatives (SAP S/4HANA experience preferred).
  • Collaborate with the Controller on process documentation, training, and team development.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Maintain vendor and customer records and ensure accuracy of billing/payment terms.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts receivable and payable.
  • Create and manage internal checklists to monitor compliance with contractual and policy requirements.
  • Provide cross-functional support and contribute to broader financial operations such as PO tracking and order flow.
