The Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger and month-end closure, financial reporting, while ensuring GAAP compliance. This role is also responsible for assisting with audits and tax filings and reviewing the work of Accounting Team Members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Accounting Degree or 7+ years’ experience in accounting
• Manufacturing Accounting experience required.
• Month End closing entries, including accrual entries
• Balance Sheet and P&L knowledge
• Very proficient in excel
• Experience with Intercompany transactions between different entities within same group
• Understanding GAAP compliance
• Strong organizational, analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Commitment to continuous process improvement

• Lead the month-end process, including preparation and review of account reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and reporting
• Lead Accountant for the Engineering department, including maintenance of project tracking spreadsheet
• Maintenance of monthly amortization spreadsheet
• Supervise and review work of accounting team members when needed (discrepancies, inquiries, etc.)
• Oversee department processes, offering input on improvements and efficiencies
• Oversee external financial audits
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings
• Conduct month end and year end processes
• Bank activity posting and bank reconciliations
• Administer company credit card accounts, including usage monitoring and payment submission
• Performing general ledger functions in compliance with GAAP and internal company policies
• Support Controller with ad hoc projects
• Other duties as assigned.
