Description
Working with people in over 200 countries and territories, we are on the ground in more than 100 countries. Operates and runs regular reports on range of standard, corporate financial processes and procedures with the objective of carrying out the following functions: Work closely with the TCS and Tax COE teams as well as external business partners to ensure that financial statements are accurately prepared, presenting the organization's financial position in accordance with local accounting standards (SYSCOHADA). Prepare and oversee the annual filing of financial statements with relevant Senegalese authorities, ensuring that the financial statements meet the required SYSCOHADA regulatory standards for corporate reporting. Provide guidance on tax filing deadlines to ensure timely submission and compliance with Senegalese regulations. Develop, manage, and execute plans for implementation of new or updated tax, accounting and reporting requirements in line with professional accounting standards and local regulations; communicate change effectively with internal stakeholders, ensure appropriate training and compliance monitoring. Proactively maintains a sound working knowledge of developments in external policy, practice and regulation within the tax and accounting profession to deliver the key functions below: Carry out the preparation and submission of corporate tax returns, VAT returns, payroll tax filings, and other necessary local tax filings (e.g., withholding taxes). Ensure that tax returns (including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, etc.) are filed accurately and on time, in accordance with Senegalese deadlines. Ensure that any local statutory requirements (e.g., language translations or format requirements for tax forms) are properly addressed. Provide guidance and advice on local tax and statutory compliance and reporting requirements. Liaise with other specialist finance functions such as Tax, Treasury, Finance Policy, and Global Process Owners as needed. Pro-actively identify unusual or complex transactions and recommend appropriate professional accounting and/ or tax treatments. Produce periodic reports relating to financial accounting, tax, and other related matters. Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in financial controllership, statutory and tax reporting, financial analysis etc. Knowledge of local laws and experience managing corporate taxation, tax compliance, VAT & WHT management and statutory reporting. Good understanding of financial control processes and professional accounting standards (including local requirements where applicable) for commercial and/or charitable organisations. Track record of managing key finance function and leading an efficient, innovative and result oriented team. Strong influencing and negotiating experience. ERP experience. DEC (Diplôme d'Expertise Comptable/ Diploma in Chartered Accountancy) - Highly preferred Membership with ONECCA (Ordre National des Experts Comptables et Comptables Agréés du Sénégal/ National Order of Chartered Accountants and Approved Accountants of Senegal). Experience of working in international and multi-cultural organisations.
