Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Cloud-Based Accounting Practice is currently searching for a full-time Senior Accountant to provide expert full-cycle accounting support to our clients in a board range of industries. The Senior Accountant will maintain financial records, process transactions, complete reconciliations, prepare scheduled financial reports, ensure accuracy and compliance with account principles and practice standards, and support the accounting practice team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Each day looks a little different here at Business Sherpa Group, but in this role, you can expect to…
- Manage the full-cycle accounting function for a number of organizations, working closely with them to meet their business needs.
- Accurately record and reconcile complex financial transactions, prepare and process payroll, and monitor and review other transaction streams.
- Lead the accounting team in month end and year end closing processes.
- Prepare and review financial statements, assist in the set up of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and practice standards.
- Solve accounting puzzles by researching and reconciling discrepancies and ensuring that the accounting is in good order.
- Competently use software to provide virtual services such as QBO, Sage 50, HubDoc, Plooto, Receipt Bank and Excel.
- Provide guidance and training to the junior accounting staff.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients to understand their unique accounting requirements and ensure their needs are met.
