  • Proven experience (3 years) in implementing and managing cloud-based accounting systems
  • (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage Business Cloud).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex accounting and financial
  • processes and recommend improvements.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical
  • concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate within a team, and manage multiple client
  • engagements simultaneously.
Responsibilities

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT ROLE OVERVIEW

NC Associates are working on an exclusive basis with a rapidly expanding firm of Chartered Accountants based in Manchester City Centre who ae looking to recruit a Qualified Senior Accountant to work closely with the Client Accounts Director. My client provides comprehensive financial solutions to a diverse range of clients, including businesses of all sizes and industries. They offer accounting, taxation, outsourcing solutions and growth advisory ensuring their clients’ financial short and long-term ambitions are planned correctly and achieved with excellence and precision. As a Senior Accountant, you should be a motivated and experienced team member and play a pivotal role in driving our growth services. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless cloud integration, preparation of management accounts for board meetings, decision making and utilise efficient financial processes.

SENIOR ACCOUNTANT DUTIES

  • Prepare working papers for each set of management accounts to reconcile all balance sheet items including but not limited to; Journals posted, WIP Analysis, Bad Debt Provision, Bank Accounts, Accruals and Deferred Income, PAYE and Pension Controls, Tax Provision etc.
  • Prepare management accounts monthly or quarterly using the client accounting system (mainly Xero) and preparing a comprehensive management pack including an Executive Summary in an Excel format
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal finance teams, understanding their evolving needs and pro-actively suggesting improvements to the finance function and keeping ahead of industry.
  • Review accounting process and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and cost savings through cloud technology.
  • Agree and meet monthly deadlines as set out in Finance Schedules to provide clients with key management information for decision making soon after the month end.
  • Support ongoing projects, this may include
  • Client system reviews and optimisation/migration
  • Acting Financial Controller in an external Finance Team
  • Preparation of Company Valuation Reports for market valuation, EMI Scheme etc
  • Mergers and acquisitions
  • Due Diligence resource, planning and completion
  • Preparation of 3-way projections in line with client KPI’s
